Have you ever watched those food-challenge shows on TV and wondered how you'd fare? You can see if you have the chomps at restaurants right here in Alabama. From behemoth burgers and monster pizzas, to piled-high seafood and colossal burritos, the state offers a wide variety of challenges to choose from.

Mugshots Burger Challenge
This challenge must be completed in only 12 minutes. Complete a burger with three half-pound patties, layered with bread, cheese and toppings. If you beat the clock, the $22 meal is free. Mugshots Grill and Bar in Birmingham.

Fifteen-dozen Oyster Challenge
Finish 15 dozen oysters in an hour and the oysters, regularly $14.99 per dozen, are half price. Beat the current record, and the oysters are free. Acme Oyster Housein Gulf Shores.
Chicken Champ Challenge
To win this challenge, you must eat six spicy wings, the "hottest wings on the planet," cooked in Gyro Uno's signature Double Dog Dare Sauce. The Six-Pound Burrito
Choose steak or chicken to go in this burrito, along with rice, beans, cheese, topped with red, green and cheese sauce. Eat it in 15 minutes or less and get your meal (value $20.99) free, along with a $10 gift certificate. El Olmeca Mexican Cantina in Huntsville.
Not only do you have to eat 10 wings cooked in famous fire sauce using no napkin, no ranch and no bleu cheese, you have to wait 10 minutes before you can wash your hands or take a drink ... ouch! The Downtown Grill in Cullman.

This platter featured on the TV show "Man v. Food" is still offered but those who order it are only challenging themselves, as no "prizes" are offered.
